On October 4, while campaigning in South Carolina, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis discussed an upcoming debate. However, it was the Republican Party’s next presidential debate scheduled for November 8 in Miami. Instead, he referred to a debate taking place three weeks later between himself and California Governor Gavin Newsom. This debate will moderated by Fox News’s Sean Hannity. Governor DeSantis remarked, “You know, [President Joe] Biden may not be their candidate,” in reference to the Democrats.

He also mentioned Congressional investigations into whether Hunter Biden had leveraged his father’s influence while Joe Biden was Vice President. Governor DeSantis noted California Governor Gavin Newsom considered a potential candidate if President Joe Biden were to exit the race. DeSantis emphasized the need to prepared for the possibility. And before serving as a Navy lawyer and being deployed to Iraq.

Governor DeSantis recounted his return to the United States after his service in Iraq.
