During Sunday’s 26-0 victory for the Jacksonville Jaguars over the Carolina Panthers, team owner David Tepper was seen seemingly throwing a drink toward a group of Jaguars fans from his luxury box.

Video of the incident from an adjacent box was posted on social media. In the video, Tepper is seen tossing the contents of his cup out the window of his box, then slamming the cup down on a bar before walking out of view of the camera. A fan in Jaguars gear then stands up from his seat and climbs up to look into the window of the box. The video cuts off there.

The video capturing Panthers owner David Tepper appearing to throw a drink at Jaguars fans lacked audio. According to WCNC’s Nick Carboni, Jaguars security investigated the incident, which occurred during Jacksonville’s 26-0 win over Carolina at EverBank Stadium. the Jacksonville Jaguars

Following the event, a Panthers spokesperson refrained from commenting on the video. The NFL acknowledged the existence of the footage through a statement from spokesperson Tim Schlittner, stating, “We are aware of the video and have no further comment at this time.”

David Tepper, aged 66, has been the owner of the Panthers since 2018, acquiring the team from Jerry Richardson amidst allegations of sexual and racial harassment during Richardson’s ownership. Despite Tepper’s ownership, the Panthers have struggled to make the postseason or achieve a winning record. The recent loss on Sunday further solidified their challenging season, dropping the Panthers to an NFL-worst 2-14. Notably, they won’t have the No. 1 pick in the draft due to a trade made last season to select quarterback Bryce Young. However, Young has faced difficulties during his rookie season.
