The Los Angeles Chargers put an end to their two-game losing streak in style as they breezed past the Chicago Bears led by Tyson Bagent on Sunday night at SoFi Stadium. The Chargers secured a commanding 30-13 victory, marking their first win in nearly a month.

The Chargers wasted no time, surging to a 17-point lead right out of the gate. Justin Herbert connected with Austin Ekeler for a 39-yard touchdown on their opening drive of the evening. Herbert continued his hot streak, finding Simi Fehoko for a 9-yard touchdown on their next possession. A Ja’Sir Taylor interception set up Cameron Dicker for a 43-yard field goal early in the second quarter.

Just before the half, Donald Parham scored an 11-yard touchdown to extend the Chargers’ lead to 24-7. The Chargers had scored on each of their first four drives in the half, firmly establishing their dominance at halftime.

The Bears managed their sole touchdown of the night with an 11-yard run by Darrynton Evans late in the first half. However, by the start of the fourth quarter, they found themselves too far behind to mount a significant comeback. Bagent did manage a 1-yard quarterback sneak just before the two-minute warning, but the subsequent two-point conversion and onside kick attempt both fell short, securing the Chargers’ 17-point victory. Bagent completed 25-of-37 passes for 232 yards but also threw two interceptions in the losing effort. The former Division II standout, who went undrafted from Shepherd University, was making his second start in place of the injured Justin Fields, who was nursing a thumb injury. D’Onta Foreman carried the ball nine times for 34 rushing yards, and Cole Kmet contributed 79 receiving yards on 10 catches.

Herbert went 31-of-40 for 298 yards and had three touchdowns in the win for the Chargers. Ekeler had 29 rushing yards on 15 carries, but had another 94 yards on seven catches. Keenan Allen added 69 yards on eight grabs.
