Heavyweight boxer Jarrell Miller was arrested in Hollywood, Florida, on Tuesday and charged with carjacking without a firearm or weapon, as well as burglary with assault or battery, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office records. Miller, a 35-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, is accused of attacking an employee at a car dealership, placing them in a chokehold, and slamming them to the ground before fleeing in a recently repossessed Dodge Ram.
He is being held on $30,000 bond and remained incarcerated in Fort Lauderdale as of the latest reports. Miller’s recent high-profile bout resulted in a 12th-round TKO loss to Daniel Dubois last month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The boxer had previously faced setbacks in his career, including testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs ahead of a scheduled bout against Anthony Joshua in June 2019, leading to a suspension. Miller faced another suspension for PED use in 2021.

Dunkin managed many of the world’s top boxers during his 30-plus years in the sport. Among them: Terence Crawford, Timothy Bradley, Kelly Pavlik, Nonito Donaire, Diego Corrales, Mikey Garcia and Jessie Vargas.
At the time of his death, Dunkin still guided the career of one champion in Philadelphia’s Jaron “Boots” Ennis, the IBF welterweight titleholder.
“RIP to my good friend and mentor Cameron Dunkin,” renowned trainer Robert Garcia, the older brother of Mikey Garcia, posted on social media. “The first person in boxing that believed in me as a trainer. … He saw something in me and believed in my work and even as an inexperienced coach he trusted.”
