On Thursday, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the two bombings during a remembrance event for a slain general in Iran.

This incident adds to the ongoing challenges in the Middle East, coinciding with the Hamas-Israel conflict. Israel and the U.S. are contending with attacks from Iran-backed groups like Hezbollah and the Houthis, striving to prevent the escalation of the conflict.

The potential Israeli connection to the suicide attacks in Kerman, Iran, where 84 people were killed and over 280 wounded, could prompt Iranian retaliation and further destabilize the region.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the top IDF spokesman, said the military is using new tactics to dismantle Hamas’ tunnel network in the southern city of Khan Younis, the second largest in Gaza.

“We will continue to expose Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure in all of Gaza, with an emphasis on Khan Younis,” Hagari said. the Islamic State claimed
