three Palestinian students

Hisham Awartani, one of three Palestinian students who were shot while walking in Vermont is now paralyzed from the chest down, his mother Elisabeth Price tells CNN.

She had previously communicated that her son might face a lifetime of immobility in his legs due to a lodged bullet in his spine.

In an interview with CNN, Price mentioned that she initiated a GoFundMe campaign to offer financial assistance to Hisham as he readies himself for the upcoming phase of recovery.

“The past six days have been emotionally challenging, yet remarkably inspiring. Firstly, witnessing Hisham and his two lifelong friends confront this ordeal with resilience, strength, and genuine concern for others – be it for each other, their parents miles away, or the numerous people enduring a harsh military onslaught. Secondly, experiencing the overwhelming global support, including love-filled messages from many of you,” writes Price.
