Beverly Hills police had apprehended Jerrid Joseph Powell of Los Angeles on Thursday during a routine traffic stop, as announced in a news conference on Saturday evening. According to Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore, Powell’s physical appearance and his dark-colored sedan aligned with the descriptions of the suspect present at all three homicide scenes. Additionally, the handgun believed to have been used in the killings was recovered from Powell’s car.
