In a game featuring two distinct momentum swings, the Texas team established a commanding 17-0 lead with 11:34 left in the second quarter, thanks to a 54-yard touchdown run. They later extended their lead to 20 points during the third quarter. However, Kansas State mounted a dramatic comeback, scoring 20 points in a mere 2 minutes and 23 seconds, completely shifting the game’s momentum against the home team.
