Chris Evans made his first public statement about his marriage to Alba Baptista, just one month after their wedding. He shared details with fans at New York Comic Con.
Chris Evans, the Captain America star, ended his silence about his recent marriage to Alba Baptista at New York Comic Con. During the event at Javits Center on October 14, he proudly showcased his wedding ring and shared the news with the audience, who responded with cheers.

The Avengers actor went on to explain that they had two wedding ceremonies, one on the East Coast and another in Portugal, Alba’s home country. He celebrated Portugal, saying, “Yeah, yeah! Go Portugal!”
Chris expressed that both ceremonies were “wonderful and beautiful,” but acknowledged the challenges of wedding planning, noting that it can be quite demanding. He added, “It’s a lot, planning a wedding. It’s a lot. Those of you who are married [know] it takes a lot out of you. But now that we’re through that, we’re just kind of been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favorite season. It’s like, the best time of year right now. Now we’re just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”
In early September, multiple outlets reported that Chris Evans, aged 42, and Alba Baptista, aged 26, exchanged their vows at a private residence in Massachusetts. The intimate ceremony was attended by their family and friends, including several of Chris’s co-stars from the Marvel superhero films, such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner.
Evans added that the couple had two ceremonies: “We had one on the East Coast. We did one in Portugal. My wife’s Portuguese.”
He also went on to explain how stressful the planning process of weddings can be, saying, “For those of you who are married, it takes a lot out of you.”
But Evans noted that now that he and his wife are “through that, we’ve kinda just been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn. It’s the best time of year right now. Now we’re just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”
