Developer Battlestate Games has officially confirmed that the upcoming wipe for Escape From Tarkov is scheduled for tomorrow, December 27, starting at 7 am GMT / 2 am EST. During this time, the wipe process will be initiated and is anticipated to last around six hours, with an expected launch time of 8 am EST. However, it’s worth noting that the deployment process might take longer than estimated, so players should be prepared for potential delays. It’s essential to be aware that the game will be inaccessible while the patch is being deployed.

This wipe aligns with the release of the 0.14 patch, introducing exciting additions such as a new map named Ground Zero, the introduction of a visually striking new boss named Kollontay, and a comprehensive overhaul of the recoil system.  Developer Battlestate Games

The community has been eagerly anticipating this wipe, with the revamped recoil system poised to bring significant changes to the gameplay experience. The full patch notes are expected to be released early tomorrow as the update is applied to the servers, potentially unveiling additional surprises for Tarkov enthusiasts. Anticipated additions include new weapons, a possible Shoreline update, and the introduction of the BTR to the Streets of Tarkov, making tomorrow an eagerly awaited day for players.

It is also expected that the new map, Ground Zero, will be restricted to low-level players, making it a great place to start your Tarkov journey. Typically a wipe is a great time to start playing Tarkov anyway, as everyone gets reset to nothing, so if you are considering checking it out now is a good time, especially with the holiday sale now on.
