Tragedy struck Middle Tennessee as tornadoes wreaked havoc on Saturday, claiming at least six lives and leaving over 150,000 residents without power. The severe weather inflicted substantial damage on structures and homes, causing widespread destruction with downed trees and snapped power lines.
The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office confirmed three fatalities in Clarksville on Saturday evening, while the Nashville Office of Emergency Management reported an additional three deaths in Madison. Officials in Montgomery County also stated that 23 individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at hospitals for storm-related injuries.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued tornado warnings for various areas across Middle Tennessee throughout Saturday afternoon and evening, encompassing Clarksville, parts of Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, and Gallatin.
