Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted on Tuesday night that the Gaza Strip must be demilitarized after the current conflict with Hamas. He emphasized that only the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and not any international force, could be trusted with this mission. Netanyahu cited past experiences, stating that international forces have proven ineffective in demilitarizing areas with anti-Israel forces, and he expressed his unwillingness to consider such an arrangement in Gaza.
Additionally, Netanyahu criticized the United Nations, human rights groups, and women’s organizations for their perceived failure to condemn the severe sexual violence committed by Hamas during the October 7 atrocities.

Netanyahu also criticized the UN, human rights groups, and women’s organizations for their perceived failure to condemn the severe sexual violence committed by Hamas during the October 7 atrocities. He called on all “civilized” leaders and governments to condemn the mass rape perpetrated by Hamas terrorists, questioning whether the silence of many groups was due to the victims being Jewish women.
During the joint press conference, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant urged Netanyahu to remove the NIS 1 billion in discretionary funds earmarked for political promises from the wartime budget, set for a vote in the Knesset soon.
