Residents of Brandon Florida, now have the opportunity to have their Chick-fil-A orders delivered via drones, according to an announcement on the Brandon/Valrico Chick-fil-A location’s Facebook page. The restaurant shared the news on Monday, stating that for a limited time, customers can enjoy free drone delivery from the Tampa Bay area franchise.
To access this new delivery method, customers are instructed to choose “Chick-fil-A Delivery” when placing an order through the app. Although the exact delivery radius was not specified in the announcement, the restaurant mentioned that there are limitations on the delivery distance.

In a separate Facebook post, the Chick-fil-A restaurant provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their drone delivery operation. The process begins with employees loading the ordered items into a white box. This box is then securely attached to a drone, and the entire package is dispatched to the designated delivery location. Upon reaching the destination, the drone gently lowers the box to the ground, allowing the customer to retrieve their order conveniently. This insight into the drone delivery process adds transparency to the innovative service offered by Chick-fil-A in Brandon, Florida.
Chick-fil-A, in a statement to USA TODAY, said that they are currently “innovating with delivery”.
“Chick-fil-A is always exploring new ways to provide the best experience for our guests,” said the fast-food restaurant chain. “We are in the early stages of testing drone delivery at a small number of Chick-fil-A restaurants.”
