Previous demonstrations featured expressions glorifying Hamas, calls for the destruction of Israel, and incidents of antisemitism. Additionally, there were instances of pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel chants during travel to and from the protests, particularly on public transportation.

“We know the cumulative impact continued protest, increasing tensions and rising hate crimes are having across London and the fear and anxiety our Jewish communities in particular are feeling,” police said in a statement on Friday.
According to organizers, more than half a million protesters were anticipated to attend the event, as reported by Sky News. The demonstrators were set to convene in Hyde Park before embarking on a march toward the US Embassy.
