Chris Evans, the Marvel actor, proudly displayed a wedding band during his appearance at New York Comic-Con (NYCC). He confirmed for the first time publicly that he recently married actress Alba Baptista.
He shared the joyous news with the NYCC audience, revealing that their recent nuptials were “really, really great.” The couple had two ceremonies, one in Portugal, where Baptista is from, and another on the East Coast, reportedly in Cape Cod last month.
Chris Evans described the dual ceremonies as “wonderful and beautiful” and explained that since then, they’ve been relaxing and enjoying their new life together as newlyweds. He humorously acknowledged the challenges of wedding planning, stating, “It’s a lot.”
Evans and Baptista have been romantically linked since 2021.
His NYCC appearance came in the midst of contract negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and major studios and streaming platforms, which were suspended due to an ongoing strike that the actors’ union has been participating in since July.
