Thousands of Israel supporters convened in London, Paris, and Berlin on Sunday, both on foot and pedal bikes, advocating for the release of hostages held by Palestinian terror groups for 100 days.
In London, Trafalgar Square transformed into a sea of Israeli flags and yellow balloons, representing the 136 hostages still in captivity. The majority were abducted on October 7, when Hamas terrorists carried out an attack in southern communities, resulting in the tragic loss of around 1,200 lives, predominantly civilians, and the kidnapping of over 240 individuals to Gaza.
Participants in the rally displayed placards with messages like “Stand with Israel” and “Never again is now.” On stage, guest speakers led the crowd in chants of “Bring them home” as a unified call for the release of the hostages.
The gathering was characterized by stringent security measures, including a significant police presence and thorough security protocols. Attendees, as part of these measures, underwent bag checks and frisking. Thousands of Israel supporters
Expressing his motivation for attending the event, Arthur Goldberg, a retiree from north London, conveyed his solidarity with Israel and the community, stating, “I’m here to support Israel, to support our community and our people.”
“You have to have empathy with an ordinary Gazan citizen, they are going through a nightmare. However, there are 150 hostages that are being detained,” added the 56-year-old.
There are consequences to how governments behave, and they voted for that government.”
Israel responded to the Hamas onslaught by launching a campaign to eliminate the terror group in the Strip, where it has ruled since taking over in a bloody coup in 2007.
