Almost two weeks before Bryan Abasolo, Rachel Lindsay’s husband, filed for divorce, the former star of The Bachelorette offered a glimpse into their four-year marriage, acknowledging the challenges posed by their conflicting work schedules.
During a December 21 episode of The Viall Files podcast hosted by fellow Bachelor Nation star Nick Viall, Rachel disclosed that she and Bryan lead markedly different lives. This disparity, she explained, often leaves little time for capturing and sharing moments on social media. Rachel clarified that their infrequent posts about their relationship stem from the fact that they find themselves in “two totally different places.”
One contributing factor to Rachel’s decision to keep her marriage more private was the criticism they faced after their appearance on The Bachelorette. The 38-year-old, who met and became engaged to Bryan during the 2017 season of the show, expressed a desire to shield their relationship from external scrutiny. She emphasized her preference for keeping certain aspects of their life together “for ourselves,” only sharing when she feels compelled to do so.
Acknowledging the inevitable highs and lows of marriage, Rachel pointed out that outsiders seldom have insight into their relationship dynamics. “Marriage has its ups and downs,” she noted, “but you never know when we’re good or when we’re not because we really just don’t put it out there. That’s just kind of always been us.” the former star
Elsewhere in the podcast, the attorney also confessed that she and Bryan, a chiropractic practitioner, “don’t work well together.”
“I commend you guys,” she told Nick and his fiancée Natalie Joy, who cohosted the episode. “Not every couple can do that.”
