Emergency workers and storm- survey teams spread out across Middle Tennessee on Sunday after the greater Nashville region was pummeled by an estimated 13 tornadoes late Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Six individuals lost their lives on Saturday night in incidents spanning Clarksville and Madison, with an additional 83 individuals reportedly transported to nearby hospitals—62 from Clarksville and 21 from the Nashville area.

Among those hospitalized, nine were transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, facing critical and unstable conditions as of Sunday.

Expressing resilience, Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden stated on Sunday morning, visibly moved, “Our community is strong, and our faith is strong. We will navigate through this together. Please keep all those involved in your prayers.”

On Sunday evening, the National Weather Service confirmed and categorized two tornadoes in the severely affected regions of Clarksville, Madison, Hendersonville, and Gallatin.
