The 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards lit up Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night, featuring a spectacular tribute to Jimmy Buffett and performances by top artists like Wynonna Judd, Dan + Shay, and Lainey Wilson.
Lainey Wilson, known for “Heart Like A Truck,” was the big winner of the 2023 CMA Awards, securing five trophies throughout the night. Her first victory was announced early on “Good Morning America,” where she and HARDY won Musical Event and Music Video of the Year for their collaboration “Wait in the Truck.”
During the event, Tracy Chapman, the “Fast Car” singer, made history as the first Black woman to receive a CMA award. Post Malone surprised the audience with a duet with Morgan Wallen on “Pickup Man” in a tribute to country legend Joe Diffie. Additionally, Wynonna Judd teamed up with New Artist of the Year Jelly Roll for a memorable performance. Annual Country Music
