Tragically, the actor was discovered lifeless in his Los Angeles residence, with early reports suggesting he succumbed to a drowning incident on a Saturday. This heartbreaking news was initially broken by the Los Angeles Times and later confirmed by the well-known celebrity website TMZ, both of which relied on anonymous sources to verify Perry’s demise.

Asked to confirm police response to what was listed as Perry’s home address, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told the AP that officers had gone to that block “for a death investigation of a male in his 50s.”
