A civilian aircraft entered restricted airspace near President Biden’s Delaware home Saturday, according to a spokesperson for the Secret Service.

“After 2 p.m. on Saturday, a civilian aircraft breached restricted airspace to the north of Wilmington, Delaware,” conveyed Secret Service representative Anthony Guglielmi in a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “In a precautionary measure, response assets were swiftly mobilized to intercept the civilian aircraft, which safely landed at a nearby airport.”

“This incident did not disrupt the protectee’s schedule in any way. The United States Secret Service is presently collaborating with the Federal Aviation Administration to investigate the matter,” the statement continued. A civilian aircraft

In response to the initial detection of the aircraft, both a fighter aircraft and a helicopter were dispatched to escort the intruding aircraft out of the restricted airspace, as shared in a press release by Guglielmi.

It’s worth noting that the President maintains a residence in Wilmington, Delaware, where he served as a senator prior to becoming vice president and eventually ascending to the presidency. The Wilmington residence drew public attention in January when classified documents from his tenure as vice president were uncovered there.

Mike Pence has decided to suspend his campaign for the presidency.
