Former President Donald Trump has officially endorsed Kari Lake, a staunch supporter of his, in the Arizona Senate race. In a video posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “When I’m back in the White House, I need strong fighters like Kari in the Senate. She is a fighter. She’s strong, and she’s good. She’s got a great heart, by the way.”
“I will need a majority in the House and in the Senate. We have to have a big, strong majority to help me push our America First agenda through, and to push it through really fast. That starts right here tonight by helping Kari Lake win in Arizona, and she will win too,” Former President Trump declared.
Kari Lake officially announced her candidacy for Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s (I-Arizona) seat next fall after filing the necessary paperwork last week. Her entry was widely anticipated, and she is seen as the frontrunner in the Republican primary, facing off against Republican Mark Lamb.
On the Democratic side, Representative Ruben Gallego (D-Arizona) is in the race, while Senator Sinema has been relatively quiet about her reelection plans. Reports indicate that her political team has been exploring the possibility of a coalition involving Republicans, Democrats, and independents to support her path to reelection. However, polling in the race suggests a challenging road for Sinema.
A poll conducted by the left-leaning firm Public Policy Polling, commissioned by Rep. Ruben Gallego’s campaign and shared with The Hill, showed Gallego at 41 percent, Lake at 36 percent, and Sinema at 15 percent in a hypothetical matchup. officially endorsed Kari Lake
In contrast, a separate poll from the Republican firm National Research Inc. indicated Lake leading Gallego by 37 percent to 33 percent, with Sinema at 19 percent.
